Our team was tasked with producing a compelling short film that shines a spotlight on the remarkable accomplishments of Project Row Houses in Houston's Third Ward district. Our objective was to highlight the strength of community collaboration and the transformative influence this initiative has had on numerous individuals, especially in the midst of gentrification. Under the guidance of director Ingela Travers-Hayward, the film titled "All In A Row" delves into the narratives surrounding these iconic row houses, capturing the stories of the individuals who utilize them as platforms for artistic expression, meaningful dialogue, and communal support.
In our quest to encapsulate the very essence of Project Row Houses, we collaborated closely with renowned filmmaker Ingela Travers-Hayward and key individuals such as Eureka Gilkey, Sidney Garrett, and Leslie Moody Castro. Together, we embarked on an exploration of the inner workings of Project Row Houses, delving into the impactful initiatives like the Young Mothers Residential Program and the Artist Rounds. These programs serve as vital platforms for underrepresented artists to exhibit their creative expressions. Through our film, we guided viewers on a captivating journey through the vibrant blocks and into the inviting shotgun houses, shedding light on the diverse array of activities and captivating stories that unfold behind each door.
